South Wales
The South Wales Sarcoma MDT works between the Morriston and Singleton Hospitals in Swansea, the Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff, and the Cardiff & Vale University Hospitals. Soft tissue tumours are treated locally but bone tumours are referred to ROH Birmingham.
Referral contact:
North Wales
The numbers of patients diagnosed in North Wales is so small that sarcoma referrals are made to the GMOSS specialist team based in Oswestry and Manchester. Diagnosis and surgery for limb/trunk tumours will be undertaken at the Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Hospital at Oswestry. Out patient clinics are held at the North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre at Glan Clwyd Hospital, Rhyl.
Northern Ireland
Sarcoma services are provided through various Belfast hospitals for most soft tissue sarcomas. Bone tumours may be referred to ROH Birmingham and some more complex cases may also be referred.
