Thank you to everyone who attended the British Sarcoma Group 2017 held in Bristol. We hope you found the programme varied and interesting, but also enjoyed catching with friends and colleagues. The programmed provided a variation of current topics and we were pleased to welcome back our guest speaker Alessandro Gronchi from Milan who updated us on his important work on neoadjuvant chemotherapy for soft tissue sarcoma, followed by our own Professor Judson putting his context for a UK audience. Within the Wednesday programme the National Sarcoma Forum (for nurses and allied health professionals) was incorporated as a parallel session with excellent interest and attendance.
Our attendance numbers grow each year and this year there were over 260 registered delegates attending on the Wednesday and over 210 for the Thursday. Our BSG evening dinner also was popular this year with over 130 attending a delightful meal accompanied by the Jazz Band, Los Clandestinos. The BSG were proud to present Professor Ian Judson the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Very many thanks to our sponsors, PharmaMar, Lilly, Stryker, Bayer, Novartis and Takeda. Without the sponsorship the BSG conference would not be possible. Finally thanks to our supporting charities, Sarcoma UK, BCRT and GIST Support UK. We hope you all found the conference beneficial and enjoyable.
The British Orthopaedic Association awarded 6 Continuing Professional Development Credits for each day of the conference (12 in total).
If there is a particular presentation you would like from the conference, please contact Luan at email@example.com
